Referee Clinics

  • Regional Referee: This clinic is for those individuals who are interested in refereeing games starting in the U-9 and U-10 age groups. It is a 10 to 12 hours course and covers all of the Laws of the Game, plus some instruction on starting and stoping games and dealing with coaches and spectators. At the successful completioin of this clinic, you'll be given the opportunity to purchase a referee uniform at the region's cost.

  • Area Referee: This is for Regional Referees who would like additional training for games at the U-11 and U-12 levels. It is a 10 to 12 hours class with emphasis on foul recognition, offside and the diagonal system of control. To qualify for Area badge the Regional Referee must : pass the Area test with at least 90%, be mentored or assessed, have done at least 25 games, 5 of which are in the U-11/U-12 age group and perform 3 service units. .

  • Section Referee Clinic: This for Area Referees who would like additional training for games at the U-14 levels. This is a 10 to 12 hour class, with emphasis on foul recognition, offside, the diagonal system of control as well as elements of fitness, procedures, knowlege and management. To qualify for the section badge the Area Referee must: pass the test with at least 90% have done at least 50 haves 5 of which in the U-14 age group, be assessed in the center and on the line, pass the physical test and perform 5 service units.
